Within the past decade, it’s become trendy to speak of “Transphobia” as a unique form of oppression that must urgently be stopped.
Transphobia has been socially and legally included alongside historical oppressions such as Racism, Misogyny, and Homophobia—positioning it as one of the most severe forms of bigotry ever known to humankind.
Trans Rights Activists claim that trans people do not have rights, that they are at higher risk for violence, and often experience discrimination and outright hatred, purely based on “Transness”.
But all of that is a crock of bullshit, because…
Transphobia is not real.
And I’m going to explain why.
First, let’s start with the basics: What does it actually mean to be transgender?
It seems that everyone has their own personal definitions of trans, which we’ll touch on in a moment. But for the record, this is how Merriam Webster defines it:
Transgender: of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity differs from the sex the person was identified as having at birth
Gender Identity: a person's internal sense of being male, female, some combination of male and female, or neither male nor female
As you can see, Transgender is rooted in identity. It does not describe a particular type of human being based on their innate qualities. There is no coherent definition of ‘Trans’ beyond one’s own self-identification with the concept.
Anyone can identify as trans for any reason. However, Trans identity is usually based on a nebulous set of learned feelings, beliefs, and projections about gender.
Some people genuinely believe they are a whole different gender simply because they do not fit the prescribed stereotype associated with their biological sex.
Many report feeling like a different gender, although this is not rooted in any reality beyond the limits of one’s cultural imagination and metaphysical beliefs.
What exactly does it mean to feel like a woman? Your guess is as good as mine!
Some may undergo medicalization, in an effort to align their physical appearance with their beliefs, and/or to shape how others perceive and treat them.
Trans is not a fixed state of being. It is an identity that one has the ability to choose and call themselves within their lifetime, once they are made aware that it is an option.
One may equally opt-out of trans identity if they feel that it no longer true for them, as a growing number of detransitioners choose to do.
This basically means that transgender is defined as anyone who self-identifies as such.
The first and most glaring problem with Transphobia, is that it is treated as a prejudice that is not based on personal identity.
Instead, Transphobia is grouped in with various forms of human oppression that are based on immutable qualities beyond one’s control. For example:
Racism is based on Phenotype (Skin Color, Hair Texture, Features, and/or Ancestry)
Misogyny is based on Biological Sex (specifically, females)
Homophobia is rooted in Same-Sex Attraction (sexual relations between people of the same biological sex)
This is about how you are classified based on your innate qualities, and how society chooses to treat people within that classification.
It is not based on feelings, or how you see yourself.
That is why historically, civil rights protections have been so urgent for these groups: because our innate qualities have exposed us to daily vulnerabilities that we could not simply change, or opt-out of.
So when “Transphobia” is considered to be akin to racism or misogyny, it’s a huge slap in the face.
I’m sure if my ancestors could have simply identified their way out of being “Negro” to gain freedom, they would! Just shout up to the slave ship deck and say “Hey, I don’t feel black…Actually, I’m white!”and the chains will be unlocked.
Oops, sorry. Your identity matters to us, Good Sir!
And I’m sure if girls who are about to experience FGM could just yell “No, I’m a boy!” and make it all stop, they would.
But they could never, because that’s not how oppression works.
Of course, there is such a thing as religious persecution, which is not so much about identity, but convicted personal beliefs.
I can get behind the idea that people should be able to hold their own philosophical beliefs without fear of persecution, so long as they are not hurting others.
Unfortunately, Religions and cults are notorious for hurting people, and the Church of Trans™️ is no exception.
However, I still think that people should not be persecuted, solely based on their beliefs.
If Transphobia were to be accurately included under anti-discrimination laws, then Transgenderism would need to be properly classified as a religious belief.
But that would complicate things, wouldn’t it?
Classifying transgenderism as a belief system forces people to reckon with the fact that it’s a cultural ideology, rather than a universal human condition.
If transgenderism were framed as philosophy rather than an innate part of humanity, it would that mean that we all have freedom to choose whether or not we want to believe in the ideology, rather than being forced to integrate it into our lives, laws and language, in the name of ending bigotry.
That is not what trans rights activists want.
So, let’s talk about what they do want!
Let’s talk about what Trans Rights Activists are lobbying for, in the name of eradicating Transphobia.
There’s a lot of talk about resisting the supposed “Rise of Anti-Trans Bills”. But what are these bills, and what do they actually mean?
Here are a few examples of what Trans Rights Activists are currently fighting against, from a reputable Trans Legislation website:
…
Preventing Violence Against Female Inmates Act of 2023
The Bureau of Prisons— shall not co-locate in detention facilities persons charged with or convicted of offenses [...] if those persons are not of the same biological sex.
Protecting Children From Experimentation Act of 2023
To amend chapter 110 of title 18, United States Code, to prohibit gender transition procedures on minors, and for other purposes.
Prohibiting Parental Secrecy Policies In Schools Act of 2023
To require a State receiving funds pursuant to title II of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to implement a State policy to prohibit a school employee from conducting certain social gender transition interventions.
Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act
To prohibit individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on Federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.
Defining Male and Female Act of 2024
To establish a clear and consistent biological definition of male and female.
Hm…It’s very telling that many of the “anti-trans” bills that people are raging against, are geared towards offering transparency and clarity over biological sex, in order to reinforce legal protections for vulnerable groups, such as women and children.
It’s utterly baffling that these “anti-trans laws” are being misconstrued as a global human rights emergency, with many of them naming this as a literal genocide, often comparing “anti-trans laws” to the Jim Crow era, which institutionalized black second-class citizenship in the U.S. through the mid 20th century.
Please, get over yourself!!!
Those who identify as trans, have the same basic legal rights as everyone else.
Creating a new list of privileges and demands does not mean you are lacking rights.
Having limited access to cosmetic surgery and artificial hormones is not a human rights crisis. It is unethical to frame these things as a medically-necessary form of suicide prevention.
Maintaining birth records and documentation so that all may continue to be legally identified based on their true biological sex—is not a human rights crisis.
However, vulnerable groups are being harmed by trans self-id laws, which allow men to identify their way into protected female spaces.
Women and girls are being made to feel threatened when forced to share private spaces with males.
Women are being raped and impregnated by male inmates as a result of pro-trans laws, which is against our constitution. Now THAT is a human rights crisis!
And the kicker is that a lot of the people who are being harmed, are biological females who also identify as trans!
Because pro-trans laws are ultimately designed to further privilege males, regardless of identity. Said “Anti-Trans” laws are only a response to that.
This is not a secret, and anyone who tries to say that it’s not a serious issue does not genuinely care about women.
With how much lip service Trans Rights Activists pay to the cause of feminism and equality, I have never once seen any of them address the issue of trans self-id laws harming women.
I have never once seen them stand outside of the prison and lobby with women who are fighting on behalf of female rape victims.
Instead, they show up to throw eggs at us. Instead, they encourage men to beat us.
Instead, they sweep it under the rug, and dismiss our concerns as “Transphobic”, saying that we are painting a vulnerable group as violent predators, in the way that blacks and gays have been overblown as predators: Once again, disrespectfully leveraging another group’s pain for their gain, to blow smoke over their misogyny.
But since we’re on the topic, let me address one major issue that Trans Rights Activists often bring up, which is violence.
The last bastion of Transphobia is the notion that Trans people are unsafe to exist in the world.
They will bring up the heightened violence against “Trans People” on the basis of their “Transness”, and assert that trans people are targeted for hate crimes.
In reality, they are citing are cases where people have been discriminated against based on gender non-conformity.
Much of the time, this goes hand-in-hand with homophobia, because most outwardly gender nonconforming people also happen to be Lesbian, Gay, or Bisexual.
In many parts of the world, you can get harassed or killed for “imitating” the opposite sex, whether that is through your natural demeanor, how you dress, or who you love.
However, Trans does not necessarily mean that you are gender nonconforming.
There is no inherent “nonconformity”, gayness, or resulting oppression that automatically comes with identifying as transgender.
Being “trans” just means that you identify as trans.
Pop Quiz: Can you guess which of these two people identifies as transgender?
Both are female, just to be clear…
In this case, the woman on the right identifies as nonbinary despite being pregnant, feminine-presenting, and outwardly gender-conforming. The woman on the left embraces her womanhood and does not identify as trans.
But ironically, the woman on the left, has faced all the same issues which trans rights activists speak of: she just wants to “pee in peace” and usually feels safer in the men’s bathroom because she more easily passes as a man. She has experienced misgendering and harassment based on her gendered self-expression.
However, she is not transgender. She is a proud butch lesbian.
And, she actually despises the fact that people often assume she is trans, and try to shove transness down her throat.
These photos and identities could easily be reversed, because various kinds of people identify as trans…
However, the point is: Nobody can correctly identify you as “trans” unless you say so.
Which makes it the ultimate 1st world faux-oppression.
And because “Trans” is a modern Western ideology, most people around the world don’t even know WTF it means! You’ll have to first explain “Nonbinary” to them, so that they can decide whether or not they want to get mad at you.
The real reason why you see some “trans” people dying from hate crimes is because many trans-identified individuals are also gay, gender nonconforming, female, black, and from other historically persecuted groups. It is not solely because of trans identity.
When a heterosexual, gender-conforming person decides to say he or she is transgender, nobody will notice or care, unless they make a big fuss about forcing others to affirm them.
If you isolate the trans identity by itself, nobody really cares!!
Trans identity requires piggybacking onto other marginalized groups to gain legitimacy as an oppressed class. It requires noise in order to exist and be seen.
Because by itself, it’s just an ideology.
The focus on “trans rights” draws attention from the heart of the matter.
The real violence trans rights activists speak of against “trans people” is almost always about Gender Nonconformity, which may persist in these people’s lives whether they choose to identify as trans or not.
Naming that oppression as transphobia is not only disingenuous, it is straight up false.
The level of erasure in our culture about the realities of masculine women and feminine men is unparalleled.
It has all been eclipsed by Transgenderism, not to mention that many gender nonconforming people have been pressured to medically transition in order to gain visibility and social protection.
We need to cultivate a society that truly accepts people for tho they are, and begin to think critically about Transgenderism and the buzzwords it has created in our culture.
Transphobia is just another method of fear-mongering. It’s an effort to create smoke and mirrors around the truth of what is behind Transgenderism.
I hope this essay offers some clarity and insight for those who are open-minded.

They also refuse to go after the demographic that does cause violence to trans people, usually trans people of color - men. What does that say about your oppression when you violently go after the group LEAST likely to harm you - women?
