I'm Hosting a Screening & Talk for My Film on Black Women in Civil Rights

Hi Everyone,

This week I will be hosting a virtual film screening and discussion of my award-winning documentary film, Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights.

Our discussion will take place on Saturday, March 23rd at 12pmEST.

I also want to offer a warm welcome to all of my new subscribers who discovered me through my latest essay, How the Trans Movement is Erasing Black Women from History: Setting the Record Straight About Pauli Murray. 

It has been less than one week and the essay has already been viewed by almost 2,000 visitors. It is my most-shared and viewed article since I started my Substack last April. 

I’m giving my all to offer this piece the visibility it deserves, and I am grateful to all of you who continue to share and discuss it. There is still so much more to come.

I would love to weave in some fruitful discussion about the essay alongside the film at my upcoming virtual screening. It will be an open format discussion, where participants are free to ask questions about the film, related topics, and my creative work/process, in general.
