Last week, I was interviewed by the Black Women’s Caucus at WDI USA, an international women’s rights organization that is dedicated to preserving women’s sex-based rights in law.
, WDI board member and founder of the Black Women’s Caucus, and , a fellow outspoken and very knowledgeable gender-critical black woman—both interviewed me. Together, we held a discussion on gender ideology, and its effects on black women, with an emphasis on lesbians, trans-identifying, and detrans women. We also spoke about my cancellation from social media for speaking about these issues. It was an incredibly powerful discussion, and I’m proud to say that this is the very first published discussion between black women on this issue, period. I’m glad the video has been resonating with people. Our voices absolutely need to be amplified in the broader conversation on women’s rights as it stands today.
This was a huge honor for me, because I’ve known about Women’s Declaration International for a couple of years now, and I’ve been supporting their work from a distance. I signed WDI’s declaration in 2021, and I shared the first statement by the Black Women’s Caucus on Gender Ideology in April of this year-which had gone viral! I’ve also mentioned WDI in my earlier Instagram posts about keeping men out of women’s prisons.
I’m grateful to have been invited to contribute to WDI’s mission, and also immensely grateful for their support.
Please watch the video and share with your networks! Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to drop me a comment below.
P.S. This week, I created a new Instagram account, where I’ll be re-purposing some of my blog posts into shareable quotes, and where I’d also like to share other creative works down the line, in pole dance, writing, and visual arts.
The home for all of my work will still be on this blog and on my official website, and the best way to support me is still through these channels. But if you happen to be on IG, please feel free to follow me and share my work!
This took a lot of courage for me but I’m trying again. If IG deplatforms me this time, I have nothing to lose. But I have more to gain by potentially reaching new people with my work, and so does the world.
Thank you for all of your support.

Bravo! I am floored by this interview. The three of you are talking about things that NEVER get discussed in GC spaces. As a black lesbian who is watching “my community” dissolve, I’m incredibly heartened by your work and this interview. I’d like contact you directly to ask about a possible collaboration.
Oops...I forgot to share my Instagram handle! It's @n3vlynnn_ 💜
